Speak-Up aims to achieve is the creation of a platform through which young people who are trained for social inclusion can turn into a mechanism that transmits to other young people different messages about social values and the value of social engagement in the community.
Our program, which is supported by Lëviz Albania, aims to create formalized campaigns through a competition that will highlight the community leaders that these areas have and achieve the creation of an activist culture that will continue even after the finalization of the program. . The creation of this safe space between peers, which fully serves young people and their interests, has as its main objective the revitalization of the social life of the area, the promotion of youth activism and civic engagement on issues of interest to the community at the local level.
The presence of such a group in the Municipality of Kamez and Vorë and the provision of training for young people will increase the youth activism of the area by including a large number of young people. Through this project, it is intended to achieve a large involvement of local youth, thus promoting youth activism in an area where such initiatives have never been undertaken. The long-term goal is that at the end of the project, this network will remain as an asset to the community and the group of volunteers who founded it during the development of this initiative.
The Municipality of Kamëz and the Municipality of Vorë are two relatively large municipalities with high access to the capital, despite the distance in kilometers and the cultural distance, where the majority of young people often move from these areas to Tirana to carry out their daily activities. academic and social.
Based on the experiences accumulated from working with young people or marginalized groups in these municipalities, we believe that a youth organization in the form of a peer network will be the best and most complementary approach for this community and the only environment for engage young people in social activities and to encourage youth activism.
Our program aims, through a competition, to create formalized campaigns that highlight the community leaders that these areas have and achieve the creation of such a culture that will continue even after the program is finalized.
